WAITING FOR THE RESULTS
Once a breast biopsy has been performed, it is absolutely nerve wracking waiting for the results. My doctors promised they would notify me as soon as possible. I was very upset and super stressed. My biopsy was on Wednesday afternoon. I received a call from the doctor the very next day. He informed me that, YES, I DID HAVE BREAST CANCER! By that time, I had already accepted the idea that I probably did have breast cancer. So the news was not really that much of a shock to me. I just felt it in my bones and my heart and soul. It is a terrible feeling when you finally realize that you have something growing in your body that you have no control over. And even worse is the fact that it is estimated that breast cancer has been growing for approximately 6 to 8 years PRIOR to being detected! That was the shocking part for me.
